Since beginning its work with the Clerk of the House of Representatives in 2009, Tandem Studios has created more than 17,000 videos for the House of Representatives resulting in more than 950,000 individual views. “The way that people used the site to participate in the yesterday’s historic debate in the House proves the value of the service for all New Zealanders,” said Tandem Studios’ Managing Director, Dave Dunlay. “New Zealanders and people in other countries were exhilarated by the process and we were delighted to be able to provide content from the debate that they could access at a time, in a place, and on an internet connected device that suited them. All videos were available for viewing and sharing on the site within 15 minutes of going live. “We know that more and more people globally are watching television content online at a time that suits them and the results achieved last night with www.inthehouse.co.nz confirm that. We already know the Huffington Post UK (the post has been ‘liked’ by 3,833 people on Huffington Post UK’s Facebook page) and slate.com, amongst others,  have shared the video content proving that this is truly a global story.” Tandem Studios’ work with www.inthehouse.co.nz  has led to interest in similar services from  local and regional authorities around New Zealand and from the Australian federal government.
