Huge number of viewers for Gay Marriage Bill on Tandems 'InTheHouse'

of the third reading of the Marriage Amendment Bill via the Parliamentary video archive website since last night, (17 April). The video of Hon Maurice Williamson’s speech to the House alone has attracted 25,000 views and more than 100 comments. (update at midday Apr' 19: 95603 views and 2443 comments. UPDATED April 21. 155,794 views and 2840 comments) The video of the House passing the bill itself after which supporters of the legislation spontaneously began singing “Pokarekare Ana” has so far attracted more than 80,000 views and more than 700 individual comments. (update at midday Apr' 19: 534,430 views and 5994 comments. UPDATED Apr 21. It now has 1,114047 views and 7660 comments) Christchurch-based Tandem Studios records, re-formats and re-purposes Parliament’s traditional TV content and publishes it on the website in small segments that are easy for viewers to search for and locate using its own leading edge online media tool LaBon™ (Living and Breathing Online Newsletter).
